2015 has been a remarkable year for philanthropy throughout the entire company!  Thank you so much to everyone for all of your participation.  Here are some of the top highlights below:

Atlantic Star Foods – The Charleston area is a major supporter of Cell Phones for Troops. All stores collected cell phones to turn in for recycling and funds to give deployed troops phones and calling cards.  Also, one of these Hardee’s locations is home to the radio broadcast that promotes Cell Phones for Troops.

Bighorn Restaurants – Our Montana stores sponsor the Billings Mustangs (a minor league baseball team), The Billings Skyview High School basketball team, and the MSU Billings Athletics.  During the holidays, the Great Falls store collects donations for Marines Toys for Tots and our Helena stores donates free fry and free drink coupons for the annual city Easter Egg Hunt.

Empire Restaurants – Hardee’s is a title sponsor for the Giving Foundation and hosts the annual golf tournament.  Money raised at this event goes to one of their major benefactors, Canine Assistants, which raises and trains service dogs for children and adults with disabilities.  Additionally, they host a quarterly luncheon for those who have graduated the training sessions with their new dogs.

Heartland – The Lund Brown Group is a big supporter of the Solace House- a Kansas City Hospice and is a sponsor of its annual Run for the Cure event.  This year, the Heartland team raised $5500, had numerous participants run the race, and many other volunteers offer support to the runners by working stations along the race route.  They also sponsored a hole for the Wayne Thomas Foundation supporting Junior golf at Osage National, along with a local boy scout troop!

North Star Foods – The stores in this region provide $3,500 worth of food to There With Care in Colorado, an organization providing fundamental support services to families and children facing critical illness during medical crisis.  Along with sponsoring various school sports teams, they also sponsor two annual 5k’s which benefit colon cancer and a local elementary school.  Finally, they donated breakfast for the United Way fundraiser of Wyoming twice this year, feeding up to 160 people.

Pioneer Restaurants – Aside from holding promotional events to raise 25,000+ pounds of food for a local food drive, Hardee’s in the Pioneer region partnered with Heat Up St. Louis.  This is a non-profit group that provides utility assistance to the needy, seniors, and disabled.  Through an in-store fundraiser, they sold $1.00 Sausage and Egg biscuits and were able to raise $62,979.

River Valley Restaurants – Hardee’s co-sponsored a student food drive with WJHL Living is Giving for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee.  With the nine high schools involved, they were able to raise over 30,000 pounds of food in less than 3 weeks!  River Valley will also hold a fundraiser this month for a Tennessee Children’s Hospital with a $1000 minimum donation.

TriStar Ventures – Stores from our TriStar region presented the Central Illinois Gold Star Families organization with a check for $10,000.  This organization provides honor, hope, and healing to survivors who have lost a loved one in service to our country through the United States Armed Forces.

Lund Brown Enterprises (Boulder Office) – Our corporate office held a food drive in October for Community Food Share- a food bank serving Boulder and surrounding counties.  We were able to raise enough food and money equivalent to 2,253 meals.  Also, in November, we participated in a Coats for Colorado drive to donate warm coats to people in need all over the state.
